-Ideal applicants should possess ten years of background performing and coordinating cost engineering and estimating services from design, preconstruction and construction stages. Background with multiple trades mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems is preferred. Knowledge and background with construction management processes, means, and methods is required. Must possess knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controlsscheduling, documentation, engineering and construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices. Understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications is mandatory. Strong technical skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite products, and background with cost and project related systems such as Prolog, Sure Track, and Primavera. Advanced programs in take-off and quantities are necessary. Prior background supporting business development activities for pursuits, proposals, submittals and resources for cost and performance is preferred, as well as knowledge of changing market trends. Effective communication, writing, and technical skills are essential. Background in meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and collaborating in group settings is desired. Background managing design professionals is required. Background in public document submittal, plan check and permit application process is required. Must understand design-build and design build related processes and procedures. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related position is required.
