Ideal candidates will possess a min of 5yrs of Construction Estimating Project Management experience preferable pertaining to the Mechanical Construction Contracting industry. Must be strongly proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel Spreadsheet and have past background working on Mechanical Construction projects ranging from one million to two million. Knowledge and background of Master builder is a plus. This Mechanical Construction Estimator Project Manager will prepare project proposal estimates bids for Plumbing, Piping andor Sheet Metal type Mechanical projects. Will support and work with preconstruction and business development staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications. Estimator shall perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding of mechanical construction projects and have extensive knowledge of construction costs and principles while adhering to our firms quality standards and client satisfaction. - Utilize Excel Spreadsheet to put together project estimates and do quantified take-offs. - Review RFPrsquos, Specifications, Basis of Design and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. - Prepare Sheet metal, HVAC piping plumbing take-offs. - Gain or have the knowledge and expertise to perform drawing redlines. - Solicit subcontractor bids and vendor quotes. - Assemble estimating spreadsheets. - Estimate small to medium sized projects independently. - Expertise to operate a personal computer using spreadsheet, ms word processing, data base, and estimating software. - Expertise to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. - Expertise to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. - Expertise or desire to learn how to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, Architectural, Structural Mechanical drawings. Expertise to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Expertise to effectively present info and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Bachelorrsquos degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture is a plus. Not required. Must have a min of 5 yrs of Construction Estimating Project Management experience. Must have Mechanical Contracting industry background pertaining to HVAC, Plumbing, Process Piping, Sheet Metal, or Structural Steel projects. Must have good technical skills and be proficient with Microsoft Project Excel Spreadsheet Required Proficient working understanding of estimating tools such as Primavera, Timberline, Suretrak, Master Builder or any other software is a plus. Ideal candidates will have Project Management experience pertaining to Commercial, Healthcare, Education, and Institutional, Civic or Government projects.
